How Did the NeuroMovement® Method Evolve?

Transformation from Feldenkrais to Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement®

Anat Baniel Studied and Worked with Moshé Feldenkrais for 11 Years
Anat Baniel was introduced to the work of Dr. Moshé Feldenkrais at a very early age. Years later, Anat Baniel met Dr. Feldenkrais when she was a graduate student in Clinical Psychology. Anat studied and worked with Moshé Feldenkrais for 11 years. They became colleagues and close personal friends.

In their work together, Dr. Feldenkrais encouraged Anat to find her own voice. He was adamant that Anat do the work in her own distinct way, which allowed her to fully develop and evolve the Anat Baniel Method®.

“Dr. Moshé Feldenkrais was the greatest thinker in the 20th Century on how to improve movement. He was well ahead of his time in his understanding that the brain can change itself in order to improve skill and well-being.”

Anat Baniel Method® Evolves With Decades of Transformational Outcomes

The Anat Baniel Method® (ABM) evolved out of Anat Baniel’s three decades of breakthrough work and transformational outcomes with adults and with children who have special needs.

Anat Baniel’s work with children and adults, along with training thousands of people, gave her many experiences from which to draw conclusions about how the brain works. Anat was using principles of brain plasticity many years before brain science caught up and began validating her work.

Her lifelong inquiry led to the development of the Nine Essentials, the tools to drive positive brain change and that form the foundation of the Anat Baniel Method®.

NeuroMovement®: Anat Baniel Method® Continues to Evolve

What Anat Baniel now calls “NeuroMovement®,” is based in the understanding that movement is the language of the brain. This approach provides the theory, fully supported by current brain science, and the tools to overcome pain, enhance learning and performance, and increase flexibility, strength, vitality, and creativity.

Anat Baniel is fulfilling Dr. Feldenkrais’ vision—to continue and evolve the seminal work he started. Click here to learn more about Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and the evolution of the Anat Baniel Method®.
